Playboy Model UK 2007 Vote

Playboy Model UK 2007 was a competition that Playboy UK setup to increase sales via mobile texting. The UGC website would allow users to create profiles and add photos and relevant details in order to get as many people to vote for them via texting. Every month the girl with the most votes would get a professional photoshoot with Playboy UK and automatically be entered into the final competition for the Playboy Model UK of the year 2007 where the 1st prize is a shoot at the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner.

The Playboy Model UK page currently shows the results of the winners for the months of 2007. This was built with compliant XHTML 1.0 and CSS.

The Buizniez

The Buizniez is a music production company that got one of the UK’s freshest rappers (Artcha) to rap on the track and release it for the summer of 2007. The delay in releasing the single was due to AK’s insistence of completing his 10 track album before releasing ‘RYH’ to avoid the one track wonder tag and ensure a steady stream of wicked follow-up if need be.

The Buizniez was designed for one single purpose, to promote this music production company and its featured artists and like most clients ask me one of the key aims was to keep the site clear concise and easy to navigate. This site will be built in XHTML and will be CSS based, compliant.

Hesler Group is a company that has been recently divided into 4 sub companies all under the Hesler Group name. It comprises of Straton and Hesler Ltd, Eggshell Ltd, Dry wall Solutions Ltd and facings Ltd. A new corporate Identity was needed for this fast growing company and a complete redesign of the whole site was the task offered to me.

The idea in mind was to incorporate the 4 existing websites into one general design but at the same time giving the 4 sites their own unique look such as individual banners respective of their company. The site is built in HTML and is CSS based, compliant.

Balagan was set up in 1999 by composers Marc Forde and Pete Devenport. Since their inception, they have written and performed 6 new musical shows in venues all over London. They are now in the process of recording the works, and producing interactive CD-Roms that will enable teachers to bring their work into their schools.

This website was created using xhtml and css. The main purpose for this website was to be able to promote the soundtracks that Balagan Theatre have worked on. Thus on the shows/cd's page there are tracks that can be previewed. There is also an image gallery showing some of the students that are a part of Balagan.

Dealing with many aspects of the music industry Sound Contacts will allow users to login and upload profiles for all to see, including potential employers. Employers will be able to log on for free and post job details of current job vacancies. All members will have to pay a monthly charge in order to access the job listings.

This website will be using PHP and MySQL for storing member profiles in a database and other useful features. The Design will be done using XHTML , CSS and Javascript.

Maldives Asunway Hotel

This project was developed as a professional website for hotel accommodation at a holiday destination. The client gave me a brief that contained a few guidelines to follow but other than that the rest was left up to me. Most importantly I had to make sure that the logo, looks and feel of this project had to be designed with the client' s objectives in mind. The hotel was situated on one of the Maldive Islands and was called the Maldives 'Asunway Hotel'.

The most important points for a successful website are: firstly, to make it as simple as possible for users to navigate relatively easily throughout the site; and, secondly, to display all the content and information in a clear way using logical and understandable headings for sections and sub-sections. Software used for this project was Illustrator 10 for the layout of the site. Fireworks MX and Dreamweaver MX were used in conjunction for the layout of the content, images and the creation of the separate HTML pages.
